Operation Turkey Food Drive, Nov. 1-14
Operation Santa Toy and Food Drive, Dec. 3-18. Thank you for your help! We were able to help more than 85 children and their families this holiday season. We appreciate the kind donations from NES school parents, students, and staff, as well as community members.

Guidance Lessons: 2013 guidance lessons are taking place in all grade levels. Guidance lessons are taught once every 12 days in every classroom. Some topics so far are: Responsibility, Friendship, Character, Accepting Differences, Conflict Resolution, Feelings, Handling a Bad Mood, Study Skills, Using I-Messages, and More.
Small Group Counseling: Small groups on various topics will be offered throughout the year. Some small groups are: Rising Stars, New Kid In Town, Friendship, Social Skills, Study Skills, Death and Dying-Hope and Healing, Changing Family, Stress Management, and more.
Individual Counseling is always available. Students may sign up to speak with the counselor, or parents and/or teachers may ask that the counselor meet with their child.
Bully-Prevention Forum--was held with Mr. Worcester, Feb. 9, 2012 at 1:00. This was an open forum to discuss how our school handles problem situations and to hear concerns parents may have.
Hugs and Kisses Program, Child Abuse Prevention Play took place on Feb. 29, 2012 for all students.
