About Our Counselor
Hello! I am Mrs. Lanham. I have been the Elementary Guidance Counselor for Nokesville Elementary School for 24 years. I have taught 5th grade, 6th grade, and Reading in previous years. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Westminster College, PA. I earned a Master's Degree from West Virginia University in Elementary Education & Reading. I also earned a second Master's Degree in Elementary Guidance and Counseling from West Virgina University. I am a WVU football fan, and also a Pittsburgh Steeler fan!
Some of my hobbies include: reading--I read at least a book a week-- horseback riding, traveling, gardening, and spending time with my family. I enjoy hobby farming on my family's small farm, www.beechwoodfarm.org and planning for summer day camps as well.
I enjoy getting to work with all of the students at Nokesville Elementary School. I visit each classroom for Classroom Guidance lessons during an ongoing 12-day rotation.. I also work with children in small groups, individually, and I am always available to meet with teachers and parents.
I enjoy getting getting to know each of the students here at Nokesville. I also enjoy sponsoring the Student Council Association, and it is wonderful to see such terrific student leaders at work. I think that NES is the best school in the county!
